At Cutti, your videos are yours. Here's a plain explanation of what data we use, why, and what you can do about it.
1. Who is responsible

2. What data we use
- Your account: name, email address and user ID when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Your content: the clips and inspiration videos you upload, the instructions you type or dictate, and the videos Cutti creates for you.
- Your purchases: your subscription status and credits. Payments are handled by Apple and Google: we never see your card details.
- Your device: model, operating system, language, notification token, and a device signal that lets us offer the free trial only once per phone.
- Usage and errors: which features you use, which version you pick in each edit, and crash reports, so the app works well and keeps improving.
3. Why we use it
- To edit your videos and deliver the result (the service you ask us for).
- To manage your account, subscription and credits.
- To offer the free trial once per device and prevent abuse.
- To notify you when your video is ready, if you turn on notifications.
- To help you when you contact us.
- To improve the quality of edits, for example by learning which version users prefer.
We do this because it's necessary to provide the service you sign up for, because of our legitimate interest in keeping Cutti working well and safely, with your consent when we ask for it (for example, for notifications), or because the law requires it.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We only share it with providers that help us run the service and can only use it on our instructions:
- Anthropic, which provides the artificial intelligence (Claude) that analyzes your videos and decides the edit. It cannot use your content to train its models.
- Cloud server and storage providers, where your videos are processed and stored.
- Apple and Google, for sign-in, payments and notifications.
- Our subscription management provider, which records your plan and credits.
We may also share data when the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Some providers are located in other countries, such as the United States. When your data leaves the European Economic Area, we use the safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Clips and inspiration: deleted from our servers 30 days after the edit is finished.
- Edited videos: kept in your Cutti library until you delete them or your account.
- Account: for as long as you have it. If you delete it, we erase your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its use, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@cutti.ai. If you think we haven't handled it properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
8. Children
Cutti is not meant for children under 13. If you are under the minimum age your country requires to give consent, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
9. Security
We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as encrypted connections and restricted access. No system is perfect, but we take it seriously.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, if the change is significant, let you know in the app.
